Add or change the name used in comments – For Microsoft Word 2007

This section will brief you about how to change remove the name (initials) used in comments.

  1. On the Review tab, in the Tracking group, click the arrow next to Track Changes, and then click Change User Name.

  2. Click Personalize.
  3. Under Personalize your copy of Office, change the name or initials that you want to use in your own comments.

Notes 

  • The name and initials that you type are used by all Microsoft Office programs. Any changes that you make to these settings affect other Office programs.
  • When you make a change to the name or initials that you want to use for your own comments, only comments that you make after the change are affected. Comments that are already in the document before you change the name or initials are not updated.
  • You should be an administrator in order to remove the name or initial.  Otherwise just type “.” or “:” if you not wish to expose your name or initial.

How to configure Yahoo Mail (POP3) MS Office Outlook 2002, 2003 and 2007

If you want to POP your Yahoo! Mail Plus into Outlook 2002, 2003 or 2007, here's how:

  • From the Tools menu, select "Email Accounts."
  • Select the radio button next to "Add a new email account" and click the "Next" button.
  • Select the radio button next to "POP3" and click the "Next" button.
  • Enter the following information: User Information
  • Your Name: Enter your name as you'd like it to appear in the "From" field of your outgoing messages.
  • Email Address: Enter your full Yahoo! Mail address (for example, "user@yahoo.com").

Server Information

  • Incoming mail server (POP3): plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com (For Plus! Users)
  • Incoming mail server (POP3): pop.mail.yahoo.com (For basic users)
  • Outgoing mail server (SMTP): plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com (For Plus! Users)
  • Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.mail.yahoo.com (For basic users)

Login Information

  • User Name: Enter your Yahoo! ID (your email address without the "@yahoo.com").
  • Password: Enter your Yahoo! password.
  • Do not check the box next to "Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)."
  • Click the "More Settings" box and select the "Outgoing Server" tab.
  • Check the box next to "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication."
  • Click the "Advanced" tab.
  • Under "Incoming Server (POP3)", check the box next to "This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)". The port number in the "Incoming Server (POP3)" field should automatically change from 110 to 995. If it doesn't, make sure the port number is set to 995.
  • Under "Outgoing Server (SMTP)", check the box next to "This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL). Enter port number "465" in the "Outgoing Server (SMTP)" field.
  • If you'd like to keep a copy of your email messages on the Yahoo! Mail server, click the "Advanced" tab. Check the box next to "Leave a copy of messages on the server." If you want to delete your messages from the Yahoo! Mail server after viewing them in Outlook, don't check the box.
  • Click the "OK" button.
  • Click the "Next" button on the Email Account Wizard, then click "Finished."

How to protect or restrict other users to open or access files, folders and drives (Win9x, XP and Vista)

First you should be logged as administrator.

Right click the folder or file or drive your want to protect.

Click on the Security Tab there must be a list of users and their rights assign option box.

From the list find the user you wish to restrict or add the user's name by clicking the add button.

Check (tick) the Full control check box below the deny header (not below allow header). Click apply and ok try opening the folder or drive by logged as the user but it will give an error.

Note: if the security tab is disappear. Go to folder option. Click view tab uncheck (Un-tick) the last option "Use simple Sharing (Recommended" and restart your system to enable the security options
